The availability of digital tools (i.e., decision support systems, software platforms, IoT infrastructures, etc.) can play an important role in diffusion of REC, as they can be help REC’s members in taking a series of long-term decisions (e.g., production and storage sizing, member selection, etc.) and in maximizing the environmental and economic benefits in an automatic manner.
This thesis project aims at exploring the tools, platforms and, more generally, the digital solutions available on the market and in the scientific community dedicated to RECs, analyzing their functionalities and the services they offer with respect to the requirements of today’s and future RECs
The student will benefit from synergies with LEAP – Laboratorio Energia e Ambiente Piacenza, already active on several projects on the topic.
